The most recent installment of the Canadian Ethnic Media Association’s Speaker Series dived into the economic impacts of COVID-19, with insight from Dan Kelly, President of the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB).
On April 1, Kelly joined CEMA members virtually to discuss how the CFIB has advocated for small businesses and provided data on the challenges and impacts business owners have faced during the pandemic. Kelly also answered questions on concerns about the current state and future of small businesses nationwide, but also Ontario, in light of its third lockdown.
Kelly, who is also the Chief Executive Officer and Chair of the Board of Governors of the CFIB, has been a trusted source in explaining the economic impacts of COVID-19 on small businesses and what all levels of Canadian government should be doing to protect them.
Every month, CEMA’s Speaker Series gives members a chance to engage in lively discussions on matters regarding the ethnic media landscape to topics currently affecting Canadians, such as the COVID-19 pandemic.
