AWARDS FOR JOURNALISTIC EXCELLENCE 2022

The Canadian Ethnic Media Association (CEMA) proudly presents the 44th Annual Awards for Journalistic Excellence.  Following on the heels of CEMA’s very successful first two virtual productions, we will proudly host our third annual Awards ceremony right here on our website, airing Thursday, November 17, 2022 at 7 p.m. EST.

Our highly-celebrated webcast production, seen across the country in partnership with several broadcast partners, is a salute to the national scope and importance of CEMA’s long-standing charter members, and to all of Canada’s ethnic media.

The CEMA Awards recognize outstanding journalistic achievement in the categories of Print, Radio, Television, Internet, Podcast – News, Podcast – Feature, Documentary, Innovation, Online Articles and Community Engagement.

Entries are independently juried and awards made on the basis of excellence and Canadian content. The annual competition continues to draw such a large and gratifying response across all categories that the panel of judges, when necessary, may exercise their option to create more opportunities to celebrate the best work of so many entrants.
