The meeting, scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., will be held at CEMA’s new meeting location, the Rogers Communication Centre at Ryerson University, 80 Gould Street.
Potter has led the TIAO — the umbrella trade association for Ontario’s tourism industry — as president and CEO since January 2011.
She currently serves as the chair of the Governance Committee on the Workplace Safety and Prevention Services Board, and holds a seat on the Sector Advisory Committee for the Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership Corporation.
In addition Potter often sits on issue-specific task forces as requested by various Ontario government ministries. She was most recently a member of the Ministry of Labour’s Minimum Wage Panel.
Prior to joining TIAO Potter spent seven years as the executive director of Camping In Ontario, an association made up of more than 600 small businesses, which actively represents the campground industry in the province. She has also served on the board for the Accommodation Industry Alliance of Ontario and Campgrounds Camping Canada — which she chaired from 2009 to 2011.
Potter, a graduate of Lakehead University, has more than 20 years of experience in the not-for-profit sector. She has worked with a variety of boards, committees and volunteers from all walks of life.
