Robert Lewis covered key events in politics, business and the arts in Canada and around the world. After stints in Montreal and Ottawa with The Montreal Star, he served for eight years as a correspondent for the Time-Life News Service in Canada and the U.S. He spent the next 25 years at Maclean’s, first as Ottawa Bureau Chief, then Managing Editor and Editor-in-Chief from 1993-2000. In 2001, he launched the Content Development department for Rogers Media. He retired after 33 years with Rogers in 2005 and is now a freelance editor and consultant. He has been a member of the Board of Governors of York University since 2003 and currently is chair of the Board Community Affairs Committee. He was a founding member of the CJF and in 2011 was elected Chair of the Board.
