The executive director of the Liaison of Independent Filmmakers of Toronto (LIFT), Chris Kennedy, is the scheduled guest speaker for the November 6 monthly meeting of the Canadian Ethnic Media Association.
Kennedy is an independent filmmaker, film programmer, writer and teacher.
LIFT was founded in 1981. It is an artist-run charitable organization dedicated to facilitating excellence in media arts education and production.
The organization provides support and encouragement for independent filmmakers and artists, through affordable access to production equipment, professional and creative development, workshops and courses, and other services.
