The 38th Annual Canadian Ethnic Media Association Awards Gala, held at the National Event Venue in Toronto, attracted a packed audience.
CEMA’s 2016 Sierhey Khmara Ziniak Award Lifetime Achievement recipient Sid Ikeda (centre) was honoured for his lifetime’s work in providing support to various cultural and ethnic communities in Canada. Making the presentation were CEMA’s chair Madeline Ziniak and Dr. Joseph Wong, recipient of the 2015 Sierhey Khmara Ziniak Award.
Cantemos, a Chamber Ensemble, specializing in music from Latin America, sings in Spanish, Portuguese and Latin.
