It’s MEMBERSHIP DUES time again… at CEMA

Thursday, January 11th, 2007

The glorious year just passed,

would not have been possible for CEMA

without you and your membership dues!

Remember! The sooner you pay your dues, the sooner your membership cards are processed.

This year, we’ve had many queries about preserving these membership cards. Here is a simple solution. After you have affixed your photograph on the card, take it to Kinkos or Staples or another such establishment in your neighbourhood. And for a couple of bucks they will laminate your card — protecting it from wind and hail! Preserved for posterity! :)

Ciao and make sure that cheque is in the mail ASAP.

CEMA Season’s Dinner: It was a SUPER SUCCESS :)

Thursday, January 11th, 2007

By any count, CEMA’s seasons dinner on Nov., 24 at the Columbus Centre was a SUPER success. It was a sold-out event and a good time was had by all, dining to the strain of Latino music provided by Cafe Cubana.

And there were top auction items to be had by all, among them a one week free stay at the gorgeous Ocotal Beach Resort in Costa Rica, value $1,000 plus, donated by the resort. And if all this wasn’t enough, NDP leader Howard Hampton announced a New Democrat trophy for the player with the best score average in the Canadian Multicultural Hockey League, in which CEMA is a media partner.

Below you get a taste of what Nov. 24, 2006 was like.
